Racism in South Africa Vol. 2
Stories from South Africa Vol. 2
This is a collection of essays about living under Apartheid in South Africa. Apartheid officially spans the years 1948 through 1994, the years when the Nationalist Party ruled South Africa through purely racist legislation and absolute enforcement through police, army, bureaucratic officials and ordinary citizens.
The daily life was filled with Apartheid encounters and with strategies to live with dignity in a police state built on indignity. These are accounts of humanity in a state of inhumanity. These are struggles for justice in an environment of injustice. Ultimately these are chronicles of the failure to destroy or diminish the human spirit.
